It’s been a few weeks since their wedding. He was holding her in bed, everything was so quiet. She wanted to keep this moment for as long as she could, but it was interrupted by a tear that didn’t excuse its way.
He looked at her, all surprised, “why are you crying now?” he said. She replied as softly as she could “You’re the love of my life and everything I’ve ever wanted, right here, for a lifetime. I just sometimes fear that you wish you were holding her instead.”, “You’re my wife now. You win.” he responded. “Do I?” She murmured. And this time silence replaced quietness, and it stayed, for the rest of their days.
