Even when I don’t show.. I blame you for not knowing.

This is for the girls who endured night after night having to translate signals and smiles. I honour you for the night his dog died, his father was admitted to the hospital or he got his car wrecked, thinking that if you only comforted him just right, or said the words he needs to hear, or rubbed his back the right way then perhaps he’d realise what he already had. This is for the night you realized that it might never happen, and the sunrise you saw the next morning after failing to sleep.
